About the Author

The author and the illustrator, Makoto Shibutani, B.A., BCaBA studied Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at University of North Texas and illustration at California State University, Long Beach. He is currently working with people with Autism, Down Syndrome, Mental Retardation and other related disorders as a behavioral consultant in Los Angeles, California. He has used his illustrated stories to teach children with Autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome, Down syndrome and other related disorders about social and safety awareness.
